INTRODUCTORY HANDLING ACCREDITATION
Avail of this perfect opportunity to learn the principle foundations to ring craft, your breed specifics and canine anatomy, whilst gaining your first UKBKC foundation qualification.
This introductory seminar, and first of many , will be hosted by our bully breed specialist Mr Ivan McClean. Initially limited to 30 people and their dogs to give a brief yet informal insight into their specific bully breed.

Learning key attributes required to fulfill a judging perspective of what a judge is looking for on show days. The best way to emphasise the positive attributes and fundamentally hide the weaknesses throughout.
​
Essentially, this an informal breakfast/coffee morning, where you learn to handle yourselves, while gaining judging perceptions adhering to criteria for potentially selecting trainee judges for the UKBKCs future reference.

With over twenty years of show experience, titling numerous breeds to International Championship statuses , Ivan is keen to pass on his wealth of knowledge offering tips to help with the evolution of breeders , handlers and potential judges alike , to make UKBKC as competitive as possible, running the day prior to our first point scoring show so don’t miss out!!!

All dogs will go home with a written critique by our specialist judge.

* What the judges are looking for.
* Introduction to learning your dogs breed standard.
10am - 12:30pm
Practical work
* How to handle the dog.
* Where the lead should go.
* Ring pace.
* How to stack the dog.
* Where to stand.
* What should you and the dog be doing whilst in the ring.
12:30pm - 1:15pm
Lunch break (lunch will be provided)

* Multiple choice recap quiz on topics from earlier.
* Assessment on stacking capabilities.
2:00pm - 3:30pm
More practical work
* How to re-stack the dog.
* What happens if the dog is misbehaving.
* Explaining in detail the judging of a dog. (E.g bite etc.)
